In 15 hours I will be on a plane to Las Vegas, Nevada!!!!!! I have dreamt of this day since I was a teenager. It seems like yesterday I was in high school and 21 seemed to be far, far away. Now, a month after my birthday, I am venturing to the candy land of 21 year olds, the playground for adults, the magical, mysterious, dangerous and alluring city of Las Vegas. My dad, who already is required to be in Vegas for a Commercial Real Estate convention, is taking me as a belated birthday present and our plans are out of this world. We are staying at the Hotel Paris, in honor of my frenchie/Parisian obsession, and we plan on getting as many activities in as possible, such as:
-exploring the strip
-visiting every grand Hotel and Casino
-dining at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant
-seeing O! the Cirque du Soleil spectacle
-taking a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon
-pool day at the Hard Rock Pool Lounge
-dinner at my Dad’s favorite steakhouse
-hitting up a couple of nightclubs
-and finally, my favorite part: ATTENDING THE 2012 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS
By chance, we happen to be in Vegas the same weekend as the award ceremony. Tickets were open to the public and reasonable so we purchased them online and we are absolutely stoked for the performances. After all, its like 17 concerts in one show! So far, I’ve heard that Rihanna, Adele, LMFAO, Lil Wayne, Kelly Clarkson, and Justin Bieber will be performing, but i know there’s bound to be many more surprises. On top of how awesome the award show will be, we happen to KNOW the hostess, Julie Bowen. (Star of Modern Family) Yes, you heard me, I know her on a personal basis. My dad, a friend and co-worker to Julie’s father, e-mailed Julie immediately after we bought the tickets and arranged a quick hello! So in addition to this crazy weekend of events, we are getting a quick meet and greet! I couldn’t feel more fortunate and I couldn’t be more excited for this incredible weekend.
Time to rummage through my closet and find the best clothes I own. Packing for Vegas means packing high heels, bling, and dresses galore. Sounds like my kind of attire. STAY GLAMOUROUS!
